AI & Content Disclosure

Made with AI
Built from my own material

Some of the media on this site was generated using AI. Every input behind it - the photography, the footage, the voice - is original material I created myself. Nothing here is trained on, scraped from, or built out of anyone else's work. Here's exactly what's what.

What's on this page

AI-generated
Hero video loop
Homepage - top of page
Generated from my own studio photography and video footage. Silent, looping, purely decorative.
AI-generated
Introduction video
Homepage - story section
Generated from my own footage and voice recording. The words are mine, written and spoken by me before generation.
Original
All written content
Every page
Written by me. AI was used as an editor and sounding board in places, the way a writer uses a good reader - never as the author.
Original
Design, layout & code
Every page
Designed by me. Built with AI assistance in the same way I'd work with a developer - I made the design decisions, AI helped execute them.

And here's the actual me

Since the videos on the homepage are generated, it seems only fair that the page explaining them shows the unedited version. No generation, no retouching - just a photograph.

The generated videos exist because filming, lighting, and editing a polished thirty-second piece takes a day I would rather spend on the work itself. The source material - my face, my voice, my footage - is all mine either way.

If you would rather see and hear the unedited version, ask. I will happily record something on my phone.

The rule I work to

AI generation is only as legitimate as the material you feed it. My position is simple, and it's the same one I brought to design teams I've led:

If I didn't create the input, I don't generate from it. Every photograph, every second of footage, every audio recording behind the AI-generated media on this site was produced by me, of me, and is owned by me.

01

Owned inputs only. No stock, no scraped material, no likeness or voice that isn't mine.

02

Disclosed, not hidden. If AI touched it, it's listed on this page. You shouldn't have to guess.

03

Nothing misrepresented. The AI-generated videos show me saying things I actually wrote and recorded. No claims I haven't made.

04

Craft still decides. AI accelerates production. It doesn't make the design judgement, the strategy, or the call on whether something is good enough.

Why bother saying so

Because the alternative is asking people to trust something they can't verify - and I'd rather be the person who tells you than the person you catch out.

There's also a professional reason. I led AI adoption inside a design organisation: training designers to prototype and ship with generative tools, and building a framework for producing brand-safe assets that don't put a company's identity or legal position at risk. Disclosure isn't a disclaimer for me - it's the practice I'd argue for in any team I lead.

AI in design work is going to be normal. Whether it's done responsibly is still being decided. This page is what my answer looks like.
